Press coverage

I’m delighted that print and broadcast media have shown such an interest in Going Solo. Here is some coverage of my story.

Sunday Times Magazine

The Sunday Times Magazine ran an extract from Going Solo on Mother’s Day 2019, a couple of weeks before publishing date, and on the day that my daughter turned two. Astrid enjoyed her first professional photoshoot. Read the full extract here.

GRAZIA MAGAZINE

I wrote a feature for Grazia about my experience of being a solo mum. The photoshoot was in south east London, where I lived until February 2019 and learnt to become a mum.

Woman’s Hour

I was completely starstruck to meet Dami Jenni Murray and talk about Going Solo on BBC Radio Four Woman’s Hour. I’m so used to hearing her voice in our home that I almost forgot that I was there to be interviewed.

The i paper

The i paper will always be an important paper to me because it’s where I used to work, and it meant the world to me that they ran this extract from Going Solo

The Independent

Similarly, I grew up at The Independent - my first job there, as an editorial assistant, was when the paper was still broadsheet sized and one of its better known writers had emails printed out for him. I wrote this comment piece for the digital edition.
